19 children and youth participated in Summer Fun Zone in 2017. 14 children/ youth and 6 caregivers completed evaluations.

100% of caregivers rated the program as excellent!
Parents rated the usefulness of the following aspects of camp as good or excellent: time away from home, activities and swimming.
100% of children / youth rated the activities as good / excellent.
92% of children / youth rated the staff as good or excellent and one respondent rated fair. 10 children rated the healthy snacks as good or excellent, one rated fair and two rated poor.
100% of caregivers would like their child to come back next year and would recommend the program to other families.

Children/youth enjoyed swimming the most!
Participants also liked:
Breakfast, "Zoo to You", Wolf Centre, sensory room,tv , music, colour, dance, movie
Children and youth wanted more swimming, unhealthy snacks, more tech time, horseback riding and an inside pool.
Summer Adventure Day Camp
13 children ages 6-11 participated during the seven weeks of camp across different locations in Haliburton County.

100% of caregivers reported that they and their children were very satisfied with camp!
Parents found time with friends, time away from home, and non-physical activities as very useful for their child.
Caregivers appreciate the camp because of its low cost, fun activities and great overall programming.
Children most enjoyed dodge ball, swimming, and games.
Minden had the highest enrollment with 29 attendees.
“As a single parent I appreciated the low-cost option with high quality programming and peace of mind".
The quality of the following areas of camp were rated as %100 good or excellent by caregivers:
- staff
- registration process
- location / facilities
- healthy snack
- overall programming
100% of caregivers would like their children to come back to camp and would recommend the program to other families.
The area of Pick up/Drop off times - was slightly lower, rating at 90% either excellent or good by caregivers.
Cardiff Kinder Program
The program ran for 6 weeks during the summer of 2017.
18 children participated.
6 caregivers responded to questionnaires.

Caregivers rated staff, registration process, overall programming and healthy snack as 100% excellent.
80% of caregivers found the program to be useful (20% somewhat useful) for kindergarten readiness and 100% useful for time with friends and activities/routines.
100% of caregivers reported that the program was a good fit.
100% of caregivers noticed changes in their child over the summer such as:
- excitement / readiness for school
- increased social interaction
- talkativeness
All caregivers said that the communication with staff was excellent.
100% of caregivers would like their children to return to the program.
Every caregiver would recommend this program to other families.
