We respectfully acknowledge that we live and work within territory covered by the Williams Treaties, on the traditional lands of the Mississauga Anishinaabe and the unceded lands of the Algonquin Anishinaabeg people. We are deeply grateful for their sharing of the land and for their continued stewardship of the lands and waters.

Point in Time and partners announce new project focused on training, mentorship and employment supports for People with Lived Experience

December 18, 2024

Point in Time,  Canadian Mental Health Association Haliburton, Kawartha, Pine Ridge and the Haliburton County Connections Committee are very excited to announce the launch of a two-year project started January 1st, 2025 called Coming Full Circle: Training, Mentorship and Employment Supports for People with Lived Experience in Haliburton County.
This initiative was funded in an amount of $797,515 from the Canada’s Substance Use and Addictions Program (SUAP).
The project aims to build a network of people with lived and living experience of substance use and mental health challenges who are trained, equipped and supported to become peer support workers. These workers will have opportunities to build their own professional and leadership capacity to contribute to health and social system improvements across Haliburton County.
Project planners will be looking for people with lived and living experience to consult with as well as explore new space opportunities in Haliburton, Minden, Carnarvon and Wilberforce.
If you would like to get involved in this project, please email info@cmhahkpr.ca More information will be available on the Point in Time and CMHA HPKR websites as it becomes available.
