A Point in Time Crisis Worker is available within the hour by calling 705-457-5345 during the hours of 8:30am – 4:30pm. They will speak with you to provide immediate relief and direction, and meet with you as necessary to give you practical suggestions to manage the situation you are in. The Crisis worker can work with you for up to three weeks to come to a fuller understanding of the situation and plan with you to put in place an appropriate longer-term strategy.

The crisis worker will provide an immediate telephone response in a variety of situations, such as feeling depressed, distressed, lonely, anxious, scared, or angry. The workers can also provide information about mental health services in the community and make referrals to the appropriate service provider for additional services potentially available such as mobile crisis intervention, short term crisis stabilization, and referrals for ongoing service.
