Our Quick Access Clinic offers confidential single sessions to get children, youth and families the help they need promptly (from next day to within 2 weeks). Sessions leave children, youth and their families with confidential support and tools focusing on their strengths and with a plan for next steps.
If further support is needed, a referral to additional Point in Time services or external services may be made. Sessions can be arranged by calling / texting 705-457-5345 or emailing info@pointintime.ca. Youth can attend a Quick Access session accompanied by their caregiver, or on their own. Youth twelve years and older can self-refer, calling/texting the offices directly to book an appointment. Referrals from teachers and other professionals are also welcome, with the youths’ consent (over 12) and parents' consent (under 12).
Anyone who wants to be seen can get an appointment – no diagnosis required - and sometimes one appointment is all that is needed.
Quick Access sessions take place at our Haliburton & Minden offices, High School Clinic and Youth Hub locations, or virtually by Zoom. If you need a home visit or alternative arrangements please speak to the intake worker.
