What Clients have to say:
Point in Time takes time to ask clients about their experience with our services. We value what people have to say and use their suggestions to improve how we offer services.
A recent client experience survey noted “Every worker that we dealt with over the years has been exceptional in their caring and help to make sure we had all the support we needed.”
One of the first contacts clients make with PinT is talking with our Intake Worker.
An Intake experience survey noted “the worker was very patient and compassionate; felt like I could tell her anything and everything”.
Our Early Intervention team works with children 0-6 and their families.
An EI survey remarked: “top marks in all categories and no area that needed improvement.”
The PinT Family Support Team works with families of children from birth to 18, often working in the family’s home environment to support the family in establishing routines and managing the day-to-day challenges of raising children.
A Family Support client experience survey reported: “the woman who came was informative, genuine and on time!”
The PinT Counselling team offers counseling services to individuals, groups and families of children and youth up to age 18. Brief/solution-focused therapy is offered, as well as longer-term therapies, such as narrative family therapy, play therapy, and expressive arts.
A recent Brief Service evaluation stated: “The worker was always there to answer my questions.”
Other comments indicated what stood out for clients: “it was reassuring to know there was help available”; “helping me understand it is not my fault”; “I can express how I feel without anyone getting mad.”
Respite services are offered to families with children who have a high level of needs.
A Respite evaluation stated: “Respite for me was desperately needed and thank you for that. Plus my daughter made a cool, new friend.”
A recent client experience survey noted “Every worker that we dealt with over the years has been exceptional in their caring and help to make sure we had all the support we needed.”
The Youth Justice Team offers a variety of services to those youth (12-18 yrs of age) who have been in conflict with the law and have been directed to PinT by either the police, probation or others in the criminal justice system. Usually the youth is not necessarily seeking our services because they want to but realize they don’t want to become further involved with the courts so PinT becomes an attractive alternative to being further immersed in the youth criminal justice system.
One youth who initially was going through the motions suddenly started taking the program seriously because he felt the worker really cared about his well-being and became a strong advocate for the services here to his peer group.
