Support for Children Youth and Parents

On Friday October 20th, at 3:30pm, staff from Point in Time and the Youth Hub will be meeting at the Head Lake Park visitor Centre to Walk for Wenjack. We are asking anyone who would like to support us, to please join our walk as we work to raise awareness and funds for the Downie Wenjack foundation and the amazing work that they do.
If you would like to learn more about Chanie Wenjack and his story, secret path week, or the Downie Wenjack foundation, please visit https://downiewenjack.ca/our-story/. Point in Time have been working with a number of organizations to support work in the mental health and substance use area in Haliburton County to center the voices of local residents with lived experience with substance use and mental health, and ultimately improve service quality and health outcomes.
We are working with a talented consultant, Tom Regehr, who is a person with lived experience. After years of work supporting others with lived experience about how to find their voices, Tom is now rolling out some info/sharing sessions for those experiencing mental health and substance use challenges in Haliburton County.
Please share this flyer universally and broadly and let people self-identify.
