We respectfully acknowledge that we live and work within territory covered by the Williams Treaties, on the traditional lands of the Mississauga Anishinaabe and the unceded lands of the Algonquin Anishinaabeg people. We are deeply grateful for their sharing of the land and for their continued stewardship of the lands and waters.

Youth Engagement Haliburton

Point in Time, with support from its community partners, has taking the leap towards engaging youth in the community as advisors and leaders!

Youth Engagement Haliburton (YEH):

  • will empower youth as valuable partners in addressing and making decisions about issues that affect them personally and/or they believe are important
  • will focus on mental health promotion to reduce the adverse impact of stigma associated with mental health concerns and to increase the resiliency of youth in our county
  • will be free to all participants

The project will include activities such as symposiums on issues facing local youth. This may include topics such as tobacco exposure/use, substance or alcohol misuse, eating disorders etc. An engagement activity may also be a social event such as a dance or a fun day in the park. For more information on Youth Engagement Haliburton Please contact the Youth Hub  (705)457-2727 or text 705 -306-5199
